Ok, I have the news module with admin approving configured. If some user post an article (waiting for approvation) I can see the correct author of the post in the admin area of the module.

If I enter the site as a standard user and then I try to post an article I have no choice to choose the author (-> i'm receiving the correct form).

This is my experience, maybe it can be helpful for you in any way.

Hello tedsmith,

I haven't done any change to the module and all runs ok on my site (but keeeping the cache for the module off).

Try to update the module first.
Then enter as a normal user and try to publish an article.

I think if you do that you will have the problem under control while waiting for the patch.

Hello another time,

I think there is a bug related to cache and posting news:

First -> Activate cache for news
Second -> Try to post an article as administrator.
Third -> Try to post an article as normal user (only privileges to post) --> You will be prompted an incorrect form.

This is a small problem, only happens with cache on.

Hello!

First of all thanks for this new version of news module. I really appreciate the inclusion of fpdf class.

I have the same problem too, and also I think there is too many options for users while they post an article (in the form to send an article): Display Topic Image?, Publish in home, Author, and also in the options menu appears "Aprove" option.

You lost some words at the final of your post -> then you have to do things like that in

modules/articles/admin/articles.php file

Hi to all!

I would like to have a center theme column like this:

1ºlevel: 1 column
2ºlevel: 2 columns
3ºlevel: 1 column
4ºlevel: 2 columns
And so on...

I realize that solution is on smarty tags but I'm novice and I don't know how to do that.
Can anyone give me a clue?.

2.06 to 2.07 upgrading, I have problems in Articles module

Hello to all,

I've just upgrade XOOPS and all is running well (thanks xoops! ), but then: I have installed the ARTICLES module and some parts like Description or a Name of a Category is shown like that:

ü%nˆ"!¨"è" ô ˆ°ÿ

Is there somebody with the same problem?

Thanks for the answer, but,

I'm running all in my own Debian server and the problem only happens with activation email, not with other email's.

Is there something in XOOPS system that can produce that?
