Have my page up and running good.
Having a problem configuring the start page.
Left side blocks OK.
Center section.
Have a custom "Welcome" block on top.
Then as a start page I am using the "Articles" module.
I would then like the "Recent Post" to be at the bottom of the 3 center blocks.
When turning on the "Recent Post" and put the weight to 4-5-6 or higher it is still above "Articles".

What do I do to make the line up the way I want it?
1. Welcome (Custom Block weight = 1)
2. Articles (Starting Mod)
3. Recent Post ????

Tried the "1 Cool Button tool" and it has a lot of cool stuff but not exactly what I want to do.
Tried the "treemenuxl" mod but didn't see that it would do anything more than give me some graphics. Unless I missed something.

Did a search and tried several from dynamicdrive and found one that works just like I want it to but can't make it work with XOOPS in a block.
Jim's DHTML Menu V5.3a
Does exactly what I want and very easy to use and configure in a html page but don't know how to use it in a block.
I even tried iframe, it works using iframe but only in that block. Don't know how to make it change the center-center sections.

Any help with this js to work in xoops?

Reason for doing this?

You can most likley do what you want with one site and use group permissions.

I have a site that allows different ppl to view different areas. Only have one register form and then I place them in the proper group.

Where would I find information for mouseover/hover pop menu that would be easy to use with the main/user menu.

I am not very savy on this stuff.

I have searched and looked at a lot of applications but just thought I would see if anybody here had good idea.

I want to have a submenu for just one link on the main menu.

I have read XOOPS for dummies (sub-menu with multipul blocks) but that really isn't what I am looking for.

IU will do that but will wait until traffic is at a minimum. Very early in the morning I will try.
Thank you.

Also learned another tip. Don't log out.

XOOPS 2.0.7
IPB mod
Have working site and test site.
My username and password bor both is the same.

Here is what happened.
Site working very good using the upgraded version 2.0.7.
I found a new theme I wanted to change over to.
I first uploaded it to my test site and eid some editing. (not much, just the header mostly)
Then uploaded it to my folder that had the main site.
I have webmaster only permission to view themes block. So I have been using this theme for several days.

Today I decided to change the default theme.
XOOPS admin --> Preferences Main »» General Settings
Default theme. Hilighted the one I wanted and clicked "Go" at the bottom of the page.
When I was returned to the admin page. I clicked the logout link top right.
I was returned to a blank page. All white. Nothing, nada.
Of course I did the panic thing and just sat here dumbfounded. What had I done. The new theme has been working for several days.

Finally I logged into my test site, went to admin section. Then, just a fluke wild idea, I changed the address in the address line of the browser to the path of the main site. It worked and was now in the main site page where I changed the default theme back to previous one.

Now using the old theme and can view the new one from the theme block.

What could have gone wrong?

Why don't you just use a message board?
Don't know much about most of them but I do know that you can set up IPB to upload photographs.
If you have XOOPS set up and running now, go to bbpixel.com and download the ipbm.
Have you up and running in about an hour.
Photos and all.

Write your html and leave the html and body tags out.
start with

Quote:
<?php
include("mainfile.php");
include("header.php");
$xoopsOption['show_rblock'] = 1; //0 for no right block
?>

All html without the head and body tags here.

<?php
include("footer.php");

?>

name it whatever.php
upload it to your host

In the block you want to point to it
<a href="{X_SITEURL}whatever.php">Whatever</a>

Now, I am not that smart so here is where ya go to find those little tricks

I guess I had better check my mail and start looking also.
I use XOOPS with the IPB mod. Use about 5 Gb bandwidth per month. Only have 1 site.

Ya know, they just installed this fantastico and the way it is set up you can't add any of their programs without paying for another db (that would be 1 db per program) and some of the programs don't even use the db.
I wanted to try the form builder and tried to load it just to see how it worked.
Quote:
You have reached the maximum of allowed MySQL databases. Fantastico can not proceed with installations until you upgrade your account or reduce the number of used databases (for example by uninstalling a script).

I have 5 different prefixes in my db so I guess I will get a letter also.
