Does anyone know what needs to be done to update old themes. I have 4thefort and I'm getting errors in the PM area using it. As it's an older theme I still had on file I'm wondering what I need to do to make it work..

Anyone have any ready esperience with this sort of effort? It's an excellent theme still.

I too have had this problem and have not been able to make posts here. I read the post above about Norton Internet security and the Privacy setting. If Privacy settings are going to block access this is a major issue! More and more people are using Norton Internet security (I like how well it works for me to say the least) and any site that states that privacy settings will block access is going to take a serious hit in traffic. Me thinks I will continue to use 2.0.7 for a while longer.

I'm working on moving my site from one server to a new one. However the FTP will not move the majority of the uploaded pictures. Their CHMOD value is 700 and will not change. Any suggestions of what I need to move this before domain propogation makes it a problem?

I used the stories module but I'm having a couple of issues.

One if I enter a table with html code the table works but it adds a line above the table for each cell in the table. Any thoughts?

The other is that the article itself uses the .outer class of the theme css for posting but it combines the table background of the outer class and the standard font color of the theme which leaves me with a white background and a very light grey text. help!! I've tried adding a color tag for the text but it does nothing and I try to adjust the background of the table by adding a more appropriate color to the background-color tag of the Outer class.
Again no effect. My best guess is that the outer class is over ridden by some other class.

I need to be able to "Pin" one news article to the home page of a XOOPS site. I have News as the Home Module for the site but I wish to keep one article at the top at all times. I'm the web designer but article updates are going to be done by a web illeterate so resetting the date on the article would be a cumbersom answer.

It also may come that they will want this one image (Possibly with some text content news article makes entry just that much simpler for the users of the site) the only thing that shows on the home page. Any suggestions?

Thanks

That would be good. At risk of looking foolish I'm brand new to XOOPS and the posting options already integrated into both the news and stories modules are sufficient for our needs in this case and the stories module satisfies the race results window. Now to just get the News articles to show on the home page not just links but I figure I'll find that somewhere shortly.

Yep all set thanks for the help

Hmm I see where you can limit topics that can be seen by membership level but not where I can dictate what can be seen on the index page. I've been through all 4 pages of settings for this module and I've not found where I can set what topics appear where. I'm still looking though. I'll also look into the "Stories" module.
