Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/joe/public_html/weddingdirectory/include/common.php on line 172

This site was working fine - but suddenly it has disappeared and gives the above error.

I've emptied the cache and the templates_ c folder

suggestions of how to get this site online would be appreciated.

Its probably because optimizing a site for google is a lot more complicated than just changing the title and description tags.

Do you have a reciprocal link exchange campaign?

You also need to mention your target keywords in the text about 12 - 20 times on your homepage ( if you can )

Thanks for all the help - I finally got it sorted. Don't you hate it when stuff that is normally really easy ends up taking a day to fix!

I still can't get it to work

The problem lies in the diifference between the two versions creating the syntax error.

Quote:
#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'contentId` int(10) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment,
`section

Is there any other method of exporting the database?

OK

I'm exporting from " phpMyAdmin 2.6.0-pl3

MySQL 4.0.22-standard running on localhost "

and importing on "phpMyAdmin 2.6.1-rc1

MySQL 4.0.23-standard running on localhost"

Thanks for the reply - this has been ruining my afternoon.

I'm trying to move a site to a new host - the problem is my new host is using a different version of mysql. (a newer version) when I export the database and try and import it to the new one they seem incompatible and I get this error

MySQL said: Documentation

`section

Any ideas on how I can import the database?
