I've got a question to whoever is wishing to answer and I hope that is the right place to ask.

Can someone tell me, as I've been absent from here for over a year, what is going on here as I'm slightly lost.

First, I remember there have been some significant issues between 2.0 and 2.1 or 2.2 supporters as well as a big difference in the code. Now, how does the 2.3 branch relate to that, does it stem from 2.0 branch or 2.2? What modules are compatible with it?

What is ImpressCMS? Where has it came from what branch of XOOPS is it based on?

Thanks in advance,

M.Z.

Hi!

Check if your theme is directly in a folder themes/zetagenesis/ or themes/default

rather than

themes/themes/default
or
themes/default/default
or any other folder

This advice may sound stupid, but mistakes happen ;)
I had couple themes in double folders and was getting the same message.

take care

I hope developers will be quick with annoucing the end of trasition era in which we have 2.0/2.2 because I'm getting sick of it. Module working here, modeule working there, Frameworks, xoopseditors etc. But, that's the end of my complaint.
The question is whether wordpress 2.xx is working for you?
I'm running my web on XOOPS 2.2.3 final on
unknown to me version of Apache server with
PHP ver 4.3.8 and
MySQL ver 4.0.21
and working WP 1.52(moon or sth)

I've been trying to set up version 2.05 on XOOPS 2.0.16 somehow unsuccessfully probably because of frameworks than I've tried it on 2.2.5, I guess...still no success.
So I've thought OK, n/p I've installed 2.2.3final that I have been running for quite a while and tried all WP versions down to 2.02 where I gave up and came back to 1.52 can someone explain me what's wrong?

Maybe those who have 2.04 or 2.05 up and running could give me some hints. I've u-loaded Frameworks 1.1 to my XOOPS root and left everything as it is; tried to install and got a message that my local.class and class files are outdated so I've u-loaded them and the only thing I got when trying to get to admin menu was server info that the file is not readable or I do not have permissions. Wrong CHMOD somewhere or maybe something else? If you know, or you think you know, let me know, please.

Take care,
Niuniek

Oki, good to know

And here is the second question. I've upgraded one of my sites to 2.2.x couple months ago, will there be a downgrade to 2.0 and than upgrade to 2.3 or will you guys have two upgrades now ?? I'm asking because I will have some spare time soon and would like to know if it's better to come back to 2.0 series before upgradeing some of my modules or it doesen't really matter.

I'm sorry for asking such questions, but I don't have enough time to popin here every now and then and follaw what's going on with XOOPS ;)
Although I must say that each time I start a new website (it's not that often as it may sound) I'm looking for something better than XOOPS and I always come back here after a waste of a day or two :P

cheers,
Niuniek

Hi,
I've read that there is recommendation to use the previous version of XOOPS instead of 2.2.x
Does it mean that the new version following 2.2.x will take a step backward to 2.0.x design or will it be a continuation of 2.2?

I'm about to start new website, do you think that the new XOOPS is going to be available before end of April ??

Cheers,
Niuniek
