You did a really great job on this site. I like the way you made use of whitespace to break up your content blocks. As for needing more color, I don't think that's crucial, but some sort of image devices (color pics or monotone icons) in your news would help break up the content even more (for better readability). Good job!

That worked great! Although I was searching for a more robust way of doing it (i.e. not having to edit the form everytime I come up with a new theme).

I actually found a solution that worked for mmy sitch: I only showed the theme select block and put the leftBlock loop into a CSS div layer and positioned it to my heart's content. Voila!

So here's another question: what file is the theme_select code in? Why? Because I want the select height to only be 1 in order to get that nifty drop down box. I can't find it anywhere (no, it's not in the template).

Thanks!

Hi! I've been looking for this answer for a couple days now, so I'm just going to state here:

How do you write an image path (i.e. img src=) into a block or html-wrapping module (i.e. tinycontent) as a relative path to the module?

I'm not looking for an absolute path answer. My goal is to be able to have the image display in a block according to to whatever theme is chosen.

So, in other words how do you code a relative path to your theme folder? Note: the <{$xoops_imageurl}> does not appear to work inside blocks.

Thank you!!

Hi, I was just wondering how to have the theme select block hardcoded into the theme html. That is, not have it as a block.

I tried copying out the code from the theme block template into the thme html file, but nothing shows up!

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! It works great - in IE. I've been having a heinous time getting it to work in Mozilla (1.6), though.

OK, here's a question: How do you display blocks in an iframe?

Background: What I'm trying to do is have an iframe display my center blocks so that I can maintain a fixed height for my site. (I'm not using the left or right blocks.)

As of right now, I've created an html page in my theme folder called c_blocks.html and have all the necessary coding in it. Of course, though, when the iframe loads c_blocks.html, all you see is the code (not the center blocks).

So then my question is how do you get XOOPS to interpret the coding from an html page that's being loaded into an iframe on your theme.html?

Does that make sense? I knew a wake and bake was a bad idea!

OK, I got it working, sorry for the post.

I'm not sure, but it may have been a firewall issue. I disabled my firewall and then it started working again.

Though I've updated the database through the XOOPS admin panel with the firewall up, so I'm still a little lost as to why it was acting that way.

Hi, I'm having problems updating my database through the system administration.

I've tried updating blocks, content and registering a new user, but to no avail. I went into phpMyadmin and it seems to working right. The site shows up correctly and existing user accounts work.

I was just wondering if this is a XOOPS issue or possibly a database issue. I haven't changed the database at all.

Thanks!

Please be gentle, but I thought I'd post my site here - it's my first theme. I just finished it yesterday.

I was originally setting up XOOPS on a non-hosting site, but I was so knocked out by how killer it is, I redesigned the hosting site for XOOPS and added the XOOPS hosting plan.

I also have a question for those who are knowledgeable: Do you think the bandwidth I'm offering is too low? I know it is low, but the hosting service is dns-based (not ip-based) and my total bandwith is pretty low. I'm only offering that much because I don't want to exceed my total bandwidth.

This is the URL:
Hella Cheap Web Hosting

Thanks, yo!

Sorry for wasting the space here, but there is something I've been needing to say for the past few days:

XOOPS RULES!!!

Thanks.
