i tried c-jay review with no luck. now i use lycos_review mod and it works great for me. rewrote some of the cells to make reviews for CD's rather then books.

i hate the not centered also. it centers in the center colomn but righ or left it positions them to the left. I have asked about this and was told it could be fixed in the partners_theme, but that turned out to not be the case. You can fix the size of the banners on your partners page through this, but it will resize the banners in your blocks.

try Myads module

https://xoops.org/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?cid=24&lid=460

also when searching for a mod the search box works wonders and you dont have to wait for someone to read a post. this is good for people like me who want it NOW

i would try the wfchannel module. built in link to us page. works great and easy to install. you can see what the page looks like by visiting www.radiodevil.com and click on link to us in the left nav bar. i do not know the direct download link, but you can search in the search box here on xoops.org and find it.

Placing R & L Column above Center Column

I have looked with no success, but how can I have my L & R centered columns move to the top with all blocks assigned to center below the L & R centered assigned blocks?

I will keep researching, but any pointers would be great!

Thanks!

humm i am sure there is someone here with enough knowledge of PHP and XOOPS who can hack the spotlight module to show more then one story. If not in the mean time you can always do custom blocks for your homepage with the stories.

could you not set your home page to open as your news module? Then the stories you want to show on the home page set them as publish in home page and check no on the ones you do not want showing.

Anyone out there to help with such newbe questions (wonder how long I can be considered a "newbe")

First one is real simple but I can not find the line in my theme style sheet. I have my partners block in the left column, but its position is set to left. How can I change the parners banner to be in the middle of the left column? Also I see on most sites there are more then one sponser located in the block, but mine only displays one at a time. How do I set to display more then one? I have searched the admin with no luck.

There is also a little tag I have seen and used in the past but have lost it. It is a simple code you place at the top and bottom of an HTML page then save the page as myfile.php. This tag will change your html into php and include your site wrap. (header, footer, left, right) can someone share that bit of code again?

Told ya they were easy questions

chad

I had the same issue where I could not view account or retrieve user profiles. It was suggested by someone to goto admin--->modules and choose update for system module. Worked like a charm here, wouldnt hurt anything for you to give it a try. If not I am sure someone who knows better might let you know
