This was considered a core feature of any real portal engine back in say 2000.

Then companies realized... Who cares what the user wants. I want them to see what I want them to see!

Seriously, I think that a customizable start page upon login to the portal would be a nice feature. This would be especially valuable for an Intranet site.

Liferay is a Java portal that does this very well. However this seems to be all it really does well. I think it should be a feature, not the main draw of the portal. It really needs to be part of the core though.

Tiny Content Duplicatable -- AKA TinyD

My personal choice.

Just FYI - I do a similar thing via HTML redirect. I have the submenu point to a page that is accessable, and that page contains an HTML redirect to the real page. Same problem with the submenu collapse though.

<table> <form> <form> </table>.........

I assume you meant: <table> <form> </form> </table>

I believe that the reason is that the table itself is an element. So is the form. So it is invalid because you have two elements that overlap, which is not allowed.

No overlapping elements... That is why it is called STRICT XHTML not LAX XHTML

I am still working on my crappy little time tracking module.

I want to create a report that does not look like my XOOPS site. I already have the module query the DB and get the info. It then poulates a table(html) in my template for display on screen. I then have the template pass the info to a new window vai javascript. The new window has the print styled (no header left column, etc.) report.

This has worked ok until the user put in ' and " into some data fields. This broke the javascript. I now think that there should be a better way.

Any help as to how the tinycontent and other modules do the "printable version" I think this would be a much better way.

I have posted in the downloads section of my site.

www.obscorp.com

Sorry for the confusion and resulting delay. In looking over my files, I found I had two versions: 2.1 and 3.0.

I just posted 3.0. If anyone wants me to post the 2.1, let me know.

I believe that the latest MultiMenu can do three menu levels.

I have the same issues with TinyD. It is just not possible. I have thought about hacking it... but I have lost steam on my portal efforts due to lack of response from clients.
