There are/were two weather modules for Xoops. One was XP-Weather and the other was MS-Weather.

Do a search for each of them and you should find some links and/or other information about them.

I dunno about the other photo albums but xcGallery allows for an admin to upload in batch mode.

I can only imagine the other photo albums also have similar functionality.

You have to think about this as being newBB-centric. The other modules shouldn't know that newBB is handling the comments. Otherwise, the modules become interdependent.

Maybe it shouldn't even be newBB-centric but more a layer that sites between the modules w/comments and any forum module. The layer, of course, would have to be forum-centric but wouldn't necessarily need to be part of the forum itself.

Yes, perhaps a newBB administration option where you can tell it to hijack the comment system away from the core.

Specifically, go into the preferences for xcGallery and change the image format to something like "GD2". That should be adequate.

I figured as much, how have you countered this up until now? I mean what have you done, if you have done anything?

I just dislike the way the comments are displayed, it looks like the forum gets embedded into the comment area. Maybe ill just edit away with it's template to make it look less like that.

I haven't done anything yet. When I finally do get around to looking into it, I think I'll try to tie the comment system directly to the forums. I dislike how anti-conversation (some may disagree with me) the comment system is. Sending comments to the forum will result in more robust conversations, in my opinion.

You made yourself clear enough to me, though that doesn't help any.

I too would like what you've asked for. However, it would mean that the forum become core-ly integrated with XOOPS and that's probably not going to happen. If I ever get my new website of the freakin' ground, I may look into this more as (as I've mentioned) I'd like to have the comments system replaced by the forum.

I thought your message sounded familiar so I did a search on the forum messages so I could tell you to contact whoever else had this problem earlier. Whatdya know... It was you.

It's not currently possible for the thumbnail image in the XOOPS search results to be a link. The XOOPS search facility wasn't designed with the thought of having an unique image per search result on the search results page. As such, XOOPS just shows the image but doesn't attempt to wrap it in a link.

Your best bet would be to ensure that each picture has a title on it so the user can at least click on that to get to the full-sized picture.

It would be nice to have an extensive groupware system for xoops. But even though I'm not a programmer, I'm pretty sure this isn't going to be an over night port!

Thank you ladon... There's nothing that irritates me more than people saying things like:

Quote:
I'm sure it's an ease for some guys of you to port it over night - even smarty-templated

Especially so when the person saying it isn't a programmer and thus knows NOTHING about what it would take.

I couldn't let that opportunity pass me by... I need to share my humor with the world more often than I have been. Beware.
