I found an extra reason... it always helps to edit the theme.html file thats actually placed in your theme directory....

I've tried changing things in the .css and in the theme html file like the header and so on.. but the changes don't appear.

I've tried logging in and out.

I've tried setting the 'Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?' to 'yes' in the settings.

I've got no cache enabled..

I've deleted all files in the template_c/ directory that had anything to do with the template..

What other reasons can there possibly be?

... whoever you are.

I got a friend who's a very talented PHP coder who's agreed to make me a custom module I need.

Now, he knows absolutely nothing about XOOPS but said he wouldn't mind giving it a go.

My question then is:

Do anyone here have any links to documentation or anything else that can help him get started and get a good understanding of how to make a XOOPS module?

Thanks for your help.

Uhhmmm... kinda curious what might have caused this error suddenly to occur - because one thing is for certain.. it isn't because I dont have enough memory.. I got 1 gig on this server.. but why does it give me this error.

Comes when I try to install new modules.. comes when I try to view a user profiles...

Any clues?

Hrmm.. another way to do the sections handling could be:

Create a module. In that module you should be able to create a section. You give that section a name - and all you need there is a sort of array that holds links... URL's.

You type a range of direct links on your website that belongs to that section...

Then you in the block configuration when you set up a block and pick whatever section it belongs to.. it would simply make that block appear when you're viewing one of the links in the array of that section...

Is that difficult to make?

Oh Awesome.. I just replied to it... I think it's too much of a work for ya tho... to make it specifically like my idea is.. but IF it was made.. I think ALOT would appreciate it...

Btw... MultiMenu ROCKS...

I've made quite a lot of nice little things to the context menu as well now.. that also takes into account what permissions a user has and what to display there...

It's fantastic!!!

I don't really know how to explain it properly.. but here goes:

What I'd like is a way to declare a bunch of various things a "site section"... like.. for instance.

Everything from these news categories belong to to this section.
Everything from these gallery categories belong to that section.
All these content pages belong to that section....

You know... a generic module that could define a section and then configure which things belong in that section...

This section should then be selectable in the blocks configuration... so when you wanted a block to display.. you could make it display specifically for everything that belonged to a specific "section".

That would among other things enable that specific feature I'm looking for.. which is a specific banner belonging to each of my guild portals to display whenever anything that related to that was viewed on the website.

I don't know if this makes sense.. but if a module like that existed.. I'm sure there'd be TONNES of other people who'd find that useable.

cool if you like this menu !

i made a last change to your template (vertical)

margin-left:<{if $block.block_size >= 0}><{$block.block_size+3}><{else}><{$block.block_size+36}><{/if}>px;
_margin-left:<{if $block.block_size >= 0}><{$block.block_size+3}><{else}><{$block.block_size+36}><{/if}

submenu is now well positioned !
change '36', if you want to move the submenu.

another thing :
your site is perfect in 1280*1024px

but do you know, that in 1024*768, the page is too large ?

and to finish, can I link to your site when someone wants to see multiMenu in action ?
bye

Yeah.. I know it's too wide for 1024... Im thinking about changing that.. haven't quite decided yet...

As for the linking... by all means.. feel free =)
If that in any way is a service to you.. then you're more than welcome =)

Thanks again mate...

Hrmm.. I'm wondering if I can use that context2 functionality....

Personally I think there should be a fuction that said 'display block' so you could enable and disable that.. so when you wanted the context functionality with right-clicking.. the block itself shouldn't appear also...

Right now I have this empty block on the left side... because of the context2...
