Thanks, perhaps I should check up with Catzwolf. Since we have barely started working on our page module his might come in handy.

We haven't given much thought to the admin side, we have just concluded that it would be a good idea to streamline it a little bit.

Let's get back to it later.

Well, I am working on an article module that will support any kind of key/value pairs that you would want to attach to it.

Furthermore on of our other developers are working on a module to make the creation of static pages a snap. Think EZCMS (postnuke module) on steroids.

We are also looking into creating a Tigra Menu Pro module to support a dropdown navigation..

Of course these statements are forward looking and blah blah blah..

I would personally like to the see the admin module streamlined a'la Mambo server. It's very easy to use, but somewhat slow.

Also the use of icons in the admin section is a small design flaw in my opinion as it provides no way of selecting an alternative module graphics when using another language than english.

I could very well imagine an admin section with drop down menus, one for each module. Perhaps I should do a mockup.

Perhaps I should ask one of our graphics artists to produce a mockup.

Plus a little more about our wysiwyg here..

I look forward to hearing from Kazo and Catzwolf

Well, it does kick ass, but it is IE only, we did some tests on Mozilla, Konquerer and Safari.

Everyone of the failed at some point.

I hope XOOPS will have better x-compatability.

Hi everyone.

I just wanted to stop and say hello to everyone. Allow me to introduce myself, I am a part of a 3 man team that will be developing websites with XOOPS the next 3 years.

This is 3 full-time paid positions at a relatively large company.

We are doing a lot of module development and will eventually release our modules back to the community. Furthermore we are looking at places to improve the XOOPS core code.

We have so far found that the lack of a good html wysiwyg widget is a major roadblock for us. So we have/are developing a htmlArea based widget as a general replacement for the current editor (yes, it outputs bbcode).

Our biggest hope for now is to setup a positive dialog with the community and make sure that all/most of our improvements make it back into XOOPS so everyone can benefit.

But we will need to know who to talk to about our code changes (read: suggestions). As things are now we are maintaining our own source-tree in cvs and will try our outmost not to fork xoops.

Other than that we are glad to be here, and look forward to the coming months as our work gets really up to speed.

One of the sites that will eventually be replaced with a XOOPS installation ishttp://www.fyens.dk

Have a nice day
Naish

PS. We have also almost completed a complete translation of XOOPS to danish.

My team is developing a version of htmlArea that can be integrated into xoops.

It does html -> bbcode -> html conversion and is a drop in replacement for the XOOPS bbcode editor.

The editor works with Mozilla and IE, and we hope that it could become the default editor (with a fallback option to the current editor).

We plan on doing an alpha release in a week or two.
