shperk: The cloning faq you linked to was published 11/05 - almost a year and a half ago. The Article 1.0 module has a "readme.clone.txt" file included. You'll notice those instructions are slightly different than the instruction in the older FAQ you linked to. :)

There's a Chess Module, but no other games modules that do what you're asking. I've never used it, so I don't know what features it has. The closest thing to a multiple games module is a really basic module which basically consists of an iframe to another site's list of games. When you click on a game, a pop up windows comes up and the users can play the games, but the pop up is from the external site, there's no score tracking. The good thing is there are 407 flash games to play, but no score tracking, so I guess it depends on how important that part of it is to you.

Yep, that's the one :) In the block, you have to click "edit" and select which comic you want it to display before anything will show up, have you done that yet?

yeah, there's a big difference between XOOPS 2.2 and 2.0.x lines. a lot of the modules that work on 2.0.16 won't work on 2.2 and vice versa. Right now XOOPS is recommending the 2.0.x series as the most stable release. 2.2 is buggy, but has some nice features that 2.0.x doesn't. The 2.0.x and the 2.2 lines are going to be merged in the future, but it could be a while, so it's best to stick with 2.0.x for now. :)

what version of xComics are you using? I have version 2 running on my site with no problem.

I noticed that you just joined recently. The module-finding system is a little confusing right now, but I don't recommending downloading modules directly from the "Module Repository" section, as most of them are outdated and no longer work properly. The latest version of modules are now listed in the "News" section, and in dev.xoops.org. It's best to do a site-wide search for the module you're looking for to find the latest version before downloading anything. :)

I can tell you who NOT to use..lol
Dot5hosting.com seems to always have issues. My site was down for 2 days because of them about a week ago, and there always seems to be little bugs, as soon as one is gone another one appears. Their email response time is good though. They do have live chat, but it's not helpful at all. If they can even speak english and understand what I'm trying to say, they just tell my to send an email to support. Or they give me a boxed answer like "we're working on it, it'll be fixed soon". Sometimes "soon" meant 4 days of no FTP access, and then finally having to have my site moved to another server. Or having no access to the control panel. Or the whole site being down for 2 days. Or getting inaccurate error messages in the control panel. It's just messed up, I'm gonna switch to a different host soon.

could you try an if statement in the block template file? for example:

<{if $block.content}>
<div style="padding: 5px;">
<fieldset>
<legend class="blockTitle"><{$block.title}></legend>
<div class="blockContent"><{$block.content}></div>
</fieldset>
</div>
<{/if}>

?

I don't know if it would work for sure, but that would be my first shot.

Has this been fixed somewhere already? I'm hesitant to upgrade to 1.46 because of the issues that seem to come up with that version in the forums. If there's a small hack I could do to fix the post/comment counts in the version I'm using that would be great!

it will do that until you "accept" the terms in the admin section, and then you have to manually select which commics you want to appear. Then it will work fine :)

where can I find the latest version of Weblog? The latest one i could find was 1.42, and that was on a Japanese site where I couldn't read anything so I couldn't download it. I have 1.41 running on my site right now, but the post count and comment counts don't update with new posts...do they work in 1.46?
