How to make notification of comments enabled for all users by default?

Hi

Hope this is the right place to post...

Is there a way to enable notification of comments by default for all new users? I.e. a new user registers and does not need to subscribe to notifications where these are enabled for a module - they just get the notifications automatically (would put something in the disclaimer to that effect)?

I don't think this is a regular admin option - is there a simple way of modifying the code?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks
MM

Thanks, but any links in that file seem to relate to the comment rather than the poster. And doesn't that file govern the appearance of comments in a block?

What I am looking for is the code which turns a poster's username, when it appears against a comment they have posted e.g. at the bottom of a module page, into a link to their userinfo page?

Thanks
MM

Hi

I want to remove the hyperlink from a comment poster's name to their userinfo page, but I can't find the correct part of the code.

The username is inserted by
<{$comment.poster.uname}>
in system_comment.html, but I can't find where this is forced to be a link.

Can anyone help?

Thank you

MM

Likewise, I would really like to try this module out. None of the links in this thread seem to be live - they all lead to what looks like it might some sort of error page or notice (in japanese).

Anybody have this file?

Blocks not showing on WF-Channel content pages unless set to all module pages

Hi

I am using WF-Channel 1.07 on XOOPS 2.2.3.

I have a left column block I want to show on some WF-Channel pages but not all. I have a right column block which is set to show on the WF-Channel index page (which is also the main site index page).

For some reason, the only way I can get the left column block to show is if I set it to appear in ALL pages for the WF-Channel module. In this case, I get the right block showing on the index page, and the left block showing on the other pages - fine. However, if I individually select a few pages in the WF-Channel module to show the left block, none of them show the block but the index page still shows the right block.

Any ideas anyone? It doesn't seem to be specific to the type of block - I have tried a few.

Thanks
MM

Hi John

Sent you a PM asking if you had worked this out as I had a similar problem.

However, I have just worked out its a XOOPS 2.2 compatibility problem (in my case anway). If you go to arma-sa.comyou can download a 2.2 compatible version of multimenu which appears to do the trick.

RSS feeds on Intranet implementation?

Hi - I am implementating a XOOPS site on our company's intranet. All has been running fine on the test site for some weeks.

I have a problem getting any of the RSS modules to function correctly though. I have tried xhld 2.99, RSS Center 0.1, XMLine 1.03, Web Digest 2 and FreeContent 3.2, all to no avail.

We have enabled web access to the internet from the server at the firewall, and the excellent Google Maps 0.2 is functioning, so we know traffic is getting through.

Our IT people are asking does the system (Xoops, or the modules) need any other TCP ports other than HTTP?

Or if anyone has any other comments or advice, these would be gratefully received.

We are running XOOPS 2.0.13.1

Thanks

Have you thought about using the Zen Cart module? It has an option (under Configuration --> My Store --> Store Status) to set the store to a showcase only type, i.e. no prices or cart.

Cheers

Hi all

This realty module is really good - particularly like the forms editors.

But the fact you have to login seperately to the normal XOOPS login seems a bit unnecessary. Anybody know of a way round this?

Thanks
MM
