Hi, XOOPS is not for basic user like you seems to be, for sure.
Yes, i agree with you, XOOPS should be managed by webmasters, not by basic users.

Welcome to basic users.
Forum are here to anwser to your questions and problems.

It's like skiing or driving, you should learn some basic notions.
It would be a lie to say the opposite !

You can use other CMS with click click click like a blackbox
OR
you can be master of your work, Thus, with XOOPS you will have more scope to modify EXCATELY as you want your site, your design, your pages, your style.
XOOPS is not a blackbox, but you need to learn a bit.

So, in 2 words,
Use blackbox, or if you want to master of your destiny, learn and use XOOPS !

The reason not opening on win 7 can have different reasons

1. Older SSL protocols are not supported on most of the webservers
2. Your browser dont work god with Win 7

your server only supports TLS v1.2

Where are you running the install code? On your local computer or on webcindario.com?

In the fourms at https://soporte.miarroba.com/ there are a number of problems reported because
mysql.webcindario.com does not accept external connections. The PHP code must be running on a webcindario.com server.

That is correct... XOOPS is distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). Most of the modules (plugins), themes, etc. are also distributed for free.

GoDaddy has a PHP 7, but it seems like they might want you to move to another contract.

The minimum PHP version for XOOPS 2.5.10 is PHP 5.3

You might try to update your current installation to PHP 5.6, or move to another hosting company and have PHP 7.

It did work, I maintained the nav-bar and the footer but my left menu are gone , not a big deal for now .

I guess if I want to maintain it all it would have to be a block, correct?

If that is the case I hope I can get to the point where I can create a simple one some day. I ll try to read the doc again.
