- How do I add drop down menu's to my XOOPS navigation?

I do not want to just display lots of links, without grouping them into categories, because that would just make everything messy.

- How do I make my navigation horizontal, unlike the default vertical left navigation upon installation?

- How can I add just icons horizontally at top to navigate the site or to add extra pages to navigate to? And also, is it possible to make the icons drop down menu or not?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Trabis has a good tip/hack using the MultiMenu module

there is another method also, based on the smarty pluggin blockanywhere, (founded by trabis) and the multimenu or any other menu maker module.
- download the smary from trabis website :
http://www.xuups.com/modules/planet/view.article.php?1812
- upload the code to your class/smarty/xoops_plugins folder.
- make your own menu by using multimenu
- make all necessary settings to the menu block and make it invisible, but copy it's ID.
- go to your theme and implent the block ID where you want to show the horiaontal menu.
for example, if your multimenu block has an 32 as an ID, write in your theme : <{block id=32}>
the road of success is always under construction

Hi linux-ws,
I believe the mastop publish module can help you with this one. I has a menu block, not sure if it is clonable, but it can do a number of things for you, like creating pages, link to pages automatically or use links to create menu items and horizontal menu also. However this mod has not bee updated for some time now. if that does not help you the multimenu module can do the work but its more manual work for you. I also noticed that you can only use the provided amount of menus that you can create, if you try to create/clone additional menu blocks it doesn't really work perhaps a fix can be made to make it work.

I tried to download the latest MultiMenu 2.0 version from the XOOPS modules / Navigation repository, but the website where you can download it, says that the domain name is expired, so I am un-able to download the latest version.

Does anybody know where I can download the latest MultiMenu 2.0 version?

For now, I will try to go with the Multimenu 1.7 version, which does not have broken download link.

Thank you very much.

Reply to: Mazarin

I will try the Multimenu hack later on, when I will get more time on my hands. Also, thank you for the latest Multimenu 2.0 download link. I appreciate it.

Also, I decided to maybe just go ahead, and use the default XOOPS blocks system to add all my website links to it, because after trying to use the latest Multimenu 2.0 module, I did not get too far..

Thank you very much.

Found the very easy solution: I purchased the latest Inspire 10 Premium theme from the http://www.insraq.me/en website, and after some technical support, I was able to make the theme use custom selected drop down menu's.

Thank you very much.
