How to Install New Templates ?

I downloaded a new template for my XOOPS site. However templates come in ".zip" format and system can not load it. It asks for ".tar" or "tar.gz" files and I dont know how to transform this .zip package to a ".tar" package. If someone helps I'll be really glad.

I think you can zipped it with winrar and choose the eztension .tar

Thanks a lot. I downloaded AlphaZIP software and archieved the files to .tar then I installed it successfully. But it still doesnt work. I came to general settings tab after installion and chose my new template as the default template but no action! When I go to my site with explorer home page is still the old template. I cant get why!

In Preferences enable 'check templates for modifications' then turn it of after you make final version of templates. It's a cache system.
