Just a question........

My server is switching in the coming week from Apache to Nginx and I wanted to make sure that it wouldnt affect any of my XOOPS sites. Is there anything I need to be aware of or changes that I need to do in order to prepare?

Im guessing there is no correlation between apache/nginx and xoops/php but since I am not a programming or coding guru, figured I'd ask the experts to be safe. I think the only thing it will affect is .htaccess from what I have read.

Thanks in advance

If you have a Linux system, you could test it out locally.
But apart from any .htaccess dependencies I expect it should run. For PHP some libraries can be required, as eg GD2 when you have a photo album module.
