hi i've done several searches and read everything i can find on the subject but nothing seems to quite cover the problem i have been having with this module -

which is after updating one particular feed, sometimes in the past it would not show the update in the xmline mainpage(user side) and would just have an empty block where the feed would normally show up. in the past it would show up if i waited a bit sometimes a few hours, and then re-updated. on this particular feed, it is happening more often than not now, but it has also happened with other feeds in the past.

before today i've always just waited but since its been over 24 hours i started investigating today. what i found has been perplexing me.

running XOOPS 2.016
XOOPS_FRAMEWORKS_VERSION", 1.10

1)cache is off.

2)the updated feed information is in the database - i know this because i checked the table several times after updating and indeed the information is updated... and since i have updated the source sites other feeds as well i checked and the individual feed datas is formatted in the table approximately the same. - i had previously believed that it had something to do with the source site, maintenance or limits or something, but if the data's there, it seems that must not be true?


i also tried decreasing the number of items fetched, changing categories, deleting and re entering the site, i have looked at the xmline block to see if there was anything that stood out, and i double checked i had not overwritten somehow the extra b correction for the spotlight html done previously,


played around a little bit with what i thought might be an extra ampersand character, in part of the code, but since it didn't seem to make a difference changed it back.

and still no items are showing

plus i'd really love to know whats causing this to avoid it happening if possible.

been thinkin' and i'm pretty sure i upgraded to the 2.018 back in october (or is it a downgrade from 2.2something?)
but in the admin panel it is saying 2.0.16

looking forward to the 2.3 to see if it will fulfill the promise of the aborted 2.2

and just a note we have had this XOOPS site since 2001 or so - and started with the proto version of .08 i think it was - up graded when it was 1.3, then 2.0 then 2.2 and back to 2.0 so i hope you will forgive my confusion for there have been many versions and updates over the last years.
