I have tried everything I know how to get these content modules to work on my server. They both were installed successfully, but when I try to use them nothing happens. For instance, when I click "add content" or "add pagewrap", nothing happens and the page just reloads me to the same menu. I am running XOOPS 2.0.18 . If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

I would avoid xtContuedo (it's very old) but Content 0.6 - the one with custom page titles - installs and works fine for me on XOOPS 2.0.16, although see my comments for the module in the repository regarding a small bugfix.

The only permissions that needs to be set AFAIK is 'content/content' to 777 and that's only needed for HTML page wraps. I would try re-uploading (make sure your FTP application sends PHP files in ascii/text mode).

I can't test this myself with XOOPS 2.0.18 for a while, but would be interested to hear if anyone else has experienced problems?
