I need some help.

My tech guy is unavailable and my XOOPS powered site is denying access to all 22,500 members (for more than 12 hours now).

When you try to log in the normal "Thank you for logging in" screen appears but is quickly replaced by a "Sorry you don't have permission to access this area" message and then the member is redirected to their profile page. I have several IDs with full webmaster/admin access and all of them are denied as well.

I'm not an IT guy but I am pretty good once I get to the administration section but I can't even get to that page.

It may be another 24 hours before I can reach my IT guy.

ANY SUGGESTIONS??

BTW The site is http://www.roadie.net and I've tried all the obvious stuff (delete cookies, reboot my PC, reboot the server, etc).

I've posted a temporary message on the root address so to see the problem go to...

Thanks

KK

I just noticed that it isn't allowing any new user registrations so one of you logging in is problematic.

Somebody please shoot me

I am having the exact same problem on my site. I have been using XOOPS for years and all of a sudden it won't let any new people register. I'm losing members right and left and my sponsors are none too happy. PLEASE HELP! What can I do about this? I have 'new user registration' turned on and have double and triple checked all of my permissions for each and everything on my site and nothing seems to fix the problem. HELP PLEASE?

OK

My tech guy is still AFK but his opinion is that I have been hacked.

The fact that it happened almost exactly at midnight Friday causes him concern that we have a trojan horse somewhere on the server that disabled the rights database or index.

If I back up the files from Thursday it may fix the issue (I am about to try it) but if there is a malware file it may trigger again.

Has anyone else had this issue in the past?

Anyone have any suggestions?

My IT guy will be back in front of a PC late tonight so I will know more then.

Thanks in adavance for any help.

I successfully backed up the databases dated the day before the incident and it did NOT fix the problem.

It still denies access to every member (regardless of level) and redirects them to their own profile page.

I give up...I'll wait for my IT guy to get back in town late tonight.
