I am in the process of creating a tool for a site that I am working on to allow for the end user to easily add audio and a descrition. It is for a language portion of the site where the typed name will be an english spelling and a native american spelling, plus just next to the spelling will be a small play button that would play an audio clip of the pronunciation of the word.

I do not necessarily need for this to be a XOOPS module. My question is, has anyone come across an app like this on the web for free or paid use?

Flash based apps are out of the question as this site will be incorporation DHTML menus and there will be an issue with the menus disappearing behind the flash.
