CBB: Global Access Level & 100+ Groups Problem

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question regarding CBB 1.12... I have a site with a lot of groups on it. When I'm creating a new forum that's only for 1 or 2 groups, I have to go in and uncheck the other 98, which is a total pain in the keister.

Is there an easy way to change the code in the module so the default upon forum creation is NO groups are checked in the global access level. Or maybe there's some other trick to this?

Thanks,

Kristine

nothing that can help, but this is the same when you install a new module along with it's blocks, personaly I feel it shouldn't have any groups assigned at all, and the admin should set them seperate, as not everyone will be given access.

Rather annoying.

From memory, I think this is one of the things that have been improved a lot from CBB 1.x to CBB 3.0x.

(Although I could be wrong as it's a very long time since I've used CBB 1.x)

correct - CBB 3.x added a default permissions template you can set and use for all forums.
