hi every one .

i think this error not so populated , but i got this error. i'm gonna explain what happened below .

i downloaded xoops-2.0.16 version from this site.
i installed it, it was success, nothing happened wrong .

and i login with admin user name and password . and :

i clicked to Preferences Main »» General Settings

everything is okey .

but when i try click for save changes in general settings, browser tolds me "http 406 error . not acceptable " . and nothing saves.

i tried with other browsers (e.g firefox and opera) and i get this error "Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /htdocs/modules/system/admin.php could not be found on this server."

what will resolve this problem ? thanks ...

i have faced the same problem on my server(1gb.cc). it is probably caused by the mime settings of the server. you should add something useless to the link.
ex:
if the link that gives the error is http://www.mysite.com/modules/system/admin.php?fct=groups

make it as
http://www.mysite.com/modules/system/admin.php?fct=groups&x=y

it worked for me
