Is there a hack that allows me to remove all the options below the keyword field?

Aside from removing the options, I'd like to keep the default values on, so that the search form's "Type" is set to "All", the "Search in" still checks all the modules, and the Search Rule retains its settings.

In effect, these parameters are still active but hidden from the user, and the user only sees keyword field.

I found the following hacks also helpful, but I can't get the effect I want from these:
Cleaning up the Search Results

Search only one module

Thanks for the assist!

You might try editing the search.php script.

the quicker way to do it is to hide the access to this page because if you succeed to remove the fields, you'll have the equivalent of the normal search.

thanks for the tip! You're right, visually, the search form should act like a normal search form, but functionally, it must still search with all the defaults activated.

do you hide the access to the advanced search form by modifying the search.php as also suggested? or can this be done from the administration's group options? I couldn't find any Search Module Access rights on the Administration panel.
