Being a complete noobie to CMS and modules - I have managed to upload XOOPS and several modules for testing purposes.

I have had a couple of problems:
1. Created a test page in pageworks but receive a blank page (have checked url etc).

Second problem is more of a "lazy if I can be" issue....

Is there a way of inputing a list of Countries into a dropdown list without having to type the individual countries (297)?

I have lot of other questions but these will suffice for now if someone out there could help me?

Cheers

There is an faq on blank pages and the best way to troubleshoot is to use your debug system - if you have no luck after this check the read before you post below and give more details. I don't know anything about 'pageworks' so this would be your best shot.

Sorry I can't help with the second question - there probably is a way but i couldn't tell you which file or how...a search on the module might help though.

Hello,

Jen is right, there's a good FAQ on blank pages, that you can find by clicking XOOPS FAQ in the left menu (top item in the most viewed list is the blank page faq).

As for a list of countries, unfortunately, you will have to enter them manually. However you can make a master list of countries in a form in Formulize, and then link to that form elsewhere when you want to use that master list, so then you only have to enter the list of countries once regardless of the number of places in different forms that you want users to be able to select a country.

To do that, make a form called "Countries" with one element, a textbox, call that box "Country Name" or something like that.

Then go to that form and make a whole bunch of entries, one for each country. Each entry will simply be the name of a country, typed into that textbox.

Then in another form, you will be able to add a selectbox, and where it says "Options linked from another form", select "Countries:Country Name".

Thank you for your interest in Formulize and Pageworks. If you would like to discuss the details further, please reply in the discussion forums for Formulize at dev.xoops.org. You can easily get to them via this URL:
