Hello, everyone.

After fooling around with my new installation of XOOPS, I changed themes, startup page.

Now I can't load the admin.php page (of course it said I don't have permission to load the page) or any page (users, etc...) for that matter. I tried to set the modules to inactive (0) in the database. That did not help.

When I tried to load the index.php page, it took me to http://hostname/xoops/modules/sections/. It is a blank page. Nothing is visible to click on.

I'm totally screwed. Of course, I can reinstall it but that will defeat my debugging process.

Thanks for the suggestions of FAQs.

I followed the FAQ guides on the following items.

2. If you can't get to the administration page, but have access to mysql, try the query "UPDATE xoops_config SET conf_value=1 WHERE conf_name = 'debug_mode'". Be sure to make sure "xoops_config" matches the name of the config table in your installation.

3. If you can't get to the administration page, and don't want to mess with mysql, but don't mind messing with PHP, then edit the file "include/common.php". Near line 83, change "error_reporting(0);" to "error_reporting(E_ALL);".

4. If this still doesn't work, your server or hoster may have turned off debugging in "/etc/php.ini" (linux) or "WIN_DIRECTORY/php.ini" (windows). Make sure there is a line in there "display_errors On".

None made any difference.
I tried my apache server.
It still took me to the http://servername/xoops/modules/sections/
Of course, that page is still blank.

I did the same as you...

But, I also found a solution to my problem:

1- I went to MySQL and made a query for the name of the new theme I uploaded;

2- Then, I just substituted the name of the theme I had uploaded for the word "default", and restaured the default theme on my site.

I know nothing of MySQL, but I was in the same situation as you, and could solve things out, hope it can help you... Anyway, you can reach me by e-mail:
