Expired Articles: to delete or not to delete...

Hi. I got my first expired article. I wasn't sure what was the proper thing to do, so I deleted it. But when I checked my News Archive the entire month that contained the expired article is no longer visible (deleted possibly also). Is this normal behavior? Should expired articles not be touched? Thanks for any tips!

General rule of thumb would be to just leave expired articles. There should be no real need to delete them.

Yeah, if you don't need to delete them (ie. if space isn't a concern), then I'd say to keep it. Personally, I'm weird about deleting things like that. My message boards never get cleared out, my articles, news, etc...always stays. If I do happen to need to remove something, I always back it up, just in case.
