Problem @ XOOPS Admin - MASS MAIL SEND :(

Hi,

I have a problem, with XOOPS - after fresh instalation, everything works fine, but now, when i have more than 500 useres, i can't send any MASS mail or PM-Message, using - ADMIN > SYSTEM > Mail to users - if i select group,where is max. 50 users, mass mail send works fine, but if i select group where number of my users more than 500, after write message, i see i white page - nothing happens :((

This same error i found @ ADMIN > SYSTEM > PREFERENCES > MAIL SETUP - i can't enter there - i see white page, and nothings happen :(( I dont know what is the reason :(( Maybe someone can help me ??

I have exact the same problem. When I send a mail to 7 users, it works just fine. When I try to send mail to all 1750 users of our community, I get a blank page.. No error, nothing..

I was testing by turn on debug mode - and nothing - just like, no error has been detect :( Someone can repair this problem ??

The same in my xoops: I have nearly 1.000 members.
Please, go in preferences.
Turn on the debug, in the preferences menu, on >php debug repeat the mass mail operation
and post the results: perhaps your host give no sufficient memory to php script.
Try to read your phpinfo and see in Configuration
PHP Core how much memory is in memory_limit
If 8 M is insufficient for the script
If at least 20 M or more go.
Try to modify the line #162 of modules/system/admin/mailusers/mailusers.php
into
$mail_end = ($added_count > ($mail_start + 100)) ? ($mail_start + 100) : $added_count;
substitute 100 with 50
and give me feedback.

This modyfication do nothing :( But my phpdebug dont work @ this thing :/ Works, when page loads, but not here :( I look for phpinfo, and i'll write my results later...

Yesterday when I send mail to 70 members the script go normally, but the last time I would send mail to all members I have error back.
I have the copy of my site in my computer, Linux Fedora 2, and I try to send from my computer the same mass mail: all members received the communication. So in my computer the script go but in my hosting don't work. I can solve so but this is a trick.
My php debug is:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 12 bytes) in /home/www/biodiversita/kernel/object.php on line 175

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 0 bytes) in Unknown on line 0

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 140 bytes) in Unknown on line 0


I also use a mailing list: 2 minutes to have the addresses from database and to put it in the list. My hosting answered that 16MB for the script are the double of the default (8).
So I also must find a new way to send communications to members.

OK !! But why can i go into:

ADMIN > SYSTEM > PREFERENCES > MAIL SETUP ????

Then i will change mail() to smtp of my mailbox !! But when i enter - i see...... yes WHITE BLANK SITE :(((

Hey you are right!!
I also can not enter!

This is a hosting problem. Perhaps XOOPS needs more 16mb allowed memory? On my local installation, I give 80mb in my php.ini to memory, no error.

I think that someone must help us to change this Maybe it possible, to make, that XOOPS will not want so much part of memory :)

how much memory will php/xoops needs for mass mail users?
16mb/70 users?
