We need more modules like this, that provide some basic functionality encapsulated in one simple extension/module, that could be than used by other modules, so we don't have to reinvent the wheel in each of these modules.
Since you've used a jQuery plugin of it, would it possible to have a tutorial on how to convert/incorporate jQuery plugins into XOOPS extensions? Could the work that you've done be replicated for other jQuery plugins, or at least some parts of your extension?

I think this rating extension is a step forward. good work.
I have a proposal for a like system which is better than a rating.
