I have taken XOOPs news module v1.55 and modified it to support Individual article icons, basically means you can have diffrent news icons per news post. And article source and link options.

For a demo visit My Site

If you are not running v1.55 this module will update your current news module to v1.55. Also remember to run this file after module installation. Once updated delete update.php.

Well, I wanted to download it, but it tells me that I need to login first. That's not good! Why? I just want to download the software.

But OK, I'll register. I do it, and it tells me that it will email me a confirmation.

That never happens. My account is there, but it's not activated, so I'm stuck!

How can we fix it?

Well first what is your email? Might be a blacklisted domain. Also check your bulk \ spam folders.

no luck for me. the page goes blank whenI hot Submit button. Enable debug mode, no error at all.

And the blank screen is an oops, Forgot 1 file in the update.

This file goes in your XOOPS_ROOT_PATH folder called class, replace the existing file. All should be well :)

Not really. I mean, the sort criteria for topics and articles are fixed:

· Topics are alphabetically sorted, admin should be able to sort manually.
· Stories sort by date. But news is a very simple way of storing lots of documentation, just like here:

But in this case we don't need documents to be sorted by date, but alphabetically or manually. In some sites I hacked the module because I don't know how to add options to the preferences, but this is not a good way.

Hello everyone,
when i submit a new article with this module, XOOPS show a blank page with this error

Fatal error: Call to undefined method NewsStory::setStoryImage() in D:\siti\radiodg\modules\news\submit.php on line 333

any idea?

Yes read a few posts up, and when you downloaded the file, there requirements say you must also download the modified XOOPS story class available on my site.

Hi. I have downloaded the file on your page but I still get a Error 500 page.

What could be wrong?

I updated the news from, 1.44 to 1.55. Then from 1.55 to 1.56. Added the class file to the class catalog.

@AHLIS Did you follows XOOPs instructions for updating from 1.44 to 1.55. Also are you unable to view the module @ all? Enable Inline Error Reporting and repost errors. Though plz post the issues in my forums support area as I do not check this site too often.
