MB hits its first educational module:
Nivelamento (beta version)

This module is designed for the e-tutoring area.
At his first stage it allows students to make exams online. Those exams will be be prepared by teachers in advance.

The exams can have as many questions as the teacher desires, but each question will allow only 5 answers at this time, and only one answer is the right one.

This is originally being programmed to discover the level of a language student in a specific language in a language school but can be use for any other purposes that fits with this idea.

I tried many times to use the cvs from the dev.xoops.org but unfortunately I think I am too dumb to be able to use it(maybe they use only suversion too), so I leave here the link to the sourceforge nivelamento project:

The module is being written using many of the xoops features and some of the phppp classes of the Framework he created, for this I thank him and all xoops colaborators a lot .

I'm having installation issues...does this module only work with php5?

Here is the error I get upon installation...

You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8 AUTO_INCREMENT=1 ' at line 10

Thanks for this great module though...it looks great!

Jeff, as I told you by private msg the problem is your version of mysql, but there is a trick to solve this:

Change ENGINE per TYPE. The next version will be already with type instead of ENGINE.

for the moment copy and overwrite the text into sql/mysql.sql inside the module nivelamento. Here is the substitutive code:

Ok thank you all for the compliments and for the error report. I am finishing to develop some last moment features (like the hability to choose how many answers per question) and will release the first candidate release. I am assuming that the module is stable enough as I am not having complaints, so if you find a problem , a translation missing or something like that please DO REPORT, it is the only way I can fix it.

Finishing this the next 10 days, then I'll start the new version 2.0 as it will have more kinds of questions (fill the hole, set the correct order of sentences ....)

Actually the Persian translation is almost finished but i`m so busy that i could n`t finish it by tonight!!!
