myalbum_rand() is a modified version of the original myalbum-p available from GIJOEs website!

Newly added features in myalbum_rand():
1) Anti-Hotlinking
2) Random Filenames
3) Preview Image Thumb Generation
4) Multi Hotlink Notification Types

Images removed from download pages. Version updated to 0.05, thanks for the edit ;) I forgot to add the warning :)

1) Supports Live Update feature
2) Fixes on random photo generation.

great module! i didn't prove it yet, but if it is equal to myalbum-p and ALSO have the random filename ability, and prevent hotlink ... this is perfect for me!

A question ... any chance to use this to *upgrade* myalbum-p? so, i have a running gallery with this, and I dont' like the idea to start over again ...

This is good work, and your efforts are certainly appreciated. But I wonder if it might have been wise to make your suggestions to GIJOE so that he could implement them into MyAlbum thus keeping MyAlbum as a single (and further imporved) module. Personally I have profound respect for GIJOE and I use MyAlbum on 2 out of 3 of my sites. I would have preferred to see your ideas built into MyAlbum as opposed to seeing two instances of MyAlbum, if you see what I mean?

But regardless, thank you very much for taking the time to contribute to Xoops.

some things that crossed my mind but i didnt look deeper so it might be in there.

- add to the docs information on which version of myalbum-p it was based so in case gijoe does changes to myalbum-p in the future one could easier follow up those

- add some info about XOOPS compatability on release (X 2.0.14 / 2.2.3?)

- change the filename maybe to the XOOPS pseudo standard
e.g. xoops2_mod_myalbum_rand()_003.zip[/size]

Actually I tried, he wasnt into the idea, so I did it myself.

Also you can go from original myalbum to mine, just run the update.php <http://yoursite/modules/gallery/update.php>

Thanks bender I changed file name and added his version info to mine, Currently now working on a entire new gallery module, and a file sharing module (like photobucket).

This module is not stable.

1.) It causes an error on userinfo pages.
2.) Upon running modules/gallery/update.php it wiped out everything I had on the original myalbum including categories and tables and then failed to work...

I am also getting a blank page when viewing my account page. It is caused by this module and it generates the following error.

Bender, I was the one who asked for an enhancement to MyAlbum-P (for users to be able to add categories; currently only Admins can add categories) and got the response you noted.

In light of this, how would this module (or any module) be progressed? I have noticed a lot of modules that start out fine and then the enhancements, upgrades just fizzle out. Further, since this module is on GIJoes site, would it be migrated into the XOOPS development site so others can progress it? Thoughts?

It's disheartening that many good and popular modules (like MyAlbum-P!) are not being progressed

Ok I have fixed this issue, and you can download the file here or those running 0.05 will see a message in there myalbum_rand() administration about the new version, you can click the link there aswell!

Let me know if there is any other problems!
