2 Make sure to always use the latest Frameworks by checking the emtpy file xoops-module-wordpress-203/art/version *.** (applicable to all modules using the Frameworks/art/)

I upgraded the frameworks and all. I'm on a XOOPS 2.0 site.

RSS feeds don't work, and other users can edit my posts???

Is there an alternate download location for this? I've been trying to download it since last nite and it keeps freezing at 15% or I get a message telling me it can't verify the download. Have a feeling it's a Manchurian Conspiracy.

I think I prefer WordPress ME. Each registered user has their own individual blogs.

With XPress, they all have rights over each other's blogs, and can view private blog entries.

Also still can't get the RSS to publish in either program.

The move to 2.03 seems to have lost the Wordpress recent post with content block.

Being able to show the most recent post with content on the main page was a pretty important feature. Am I missing something?

Is there any way to get rid of the "Operation Menu" on the WP side block? I've been trying to get rid of it by hacking the templates, but for some reason it is STILL there (after deleting the cache and templates_c). I like this module a lot though.

When trying to add the recent post by Title block AND selecting a category, I get this error. However, if I do NOT select a category, I don't get the error. The same with Recent Post with title and content.

Did you regenerate your templates? Probably best to use cloned templates too.

@msdana: Seems it is bug introduced when I tried to convert the block scripts to a new one.
However the conversion is not completed.

Plz use block (ONLY BLOCK) scripts from XPress 2.02.

It works if I don't use a specific category, which in my case isn't a problem, I only have one category.

It is a small bug that persists since WP2.00.

I look forward to using this module. I have completly removed the older versions (even with a rm -Rf at the cli) After reinstalling and updating, it still blanks the front page of the site when I attempt to put the recent titles in.

Using XOOPS 2.0.13.2 and the download referenced in this post. I used wget to pull it straight to the server.. Gotta be something simple...

I'm new to xoops, so bear with me.

I've been trying to figure out what "frameworks" is. Installation guide says to laod it to the XOOPS root, but a search on the community does not reveal any downloads or a module by this name.

The next step asys to remove the xoops22 folder - I did so because I'm stilll using 2.0.14.

The next step says to use the newest package and to check a file which is empty. What does this instruction mean?

"Upload Frameworks to your XOOPS root folder
1. Remove Frameworks/xoops22/ if you are using XOOPS 2.2*)
2. Always use the newest package (check the file in Frameworks/art/Version *.*)"

The "frameworks" folder is included with XPress. You need to upload that folder to your root directory and upload the wordpress folder to your modules directory.

Since you are using 2.0.14 you DO NOT DELETE the frameworks/xoops22/ folder. You only remove it if you are using version 2.2.

BTW, there is a newer version of XPress -- 3.04. It is available at the developer's website.

Argh!!! Well that answers questions 1 & 2.

I removed the old stuff (since I messed with it trying to get it to work) and re-uploaded all files. "Frameworkds ins now in the "/home" folder since XOOPS is installed in that sub. No mods to any files in the wordpress or frameworks folders.

I'm still getting this:
"Module File for xoops-module-wordpress-203 Not Found!"

So I'm not sure what I'm missing since I didn't edit or delete anything at this point. I'll leave it be until someone responds. BTW - still using the 2.03 version of the module. Thanks!!!

Perhaps something went wrong in the upload. I suggest uploading the wordpress folder to /modules/ again and try again

The reason for the problem is that phppp doesn't use the name of the folder module in his zip of the files.

You need to rename the module folder to simply wordpress for it to work.

In order to make certain of the folder name, check in xoop_version in the modules folder to see what folder it is looking for.

When you unzip XPress, it makes a folder titled "xoops-module-wordpress-203" with two folders inside. One is called "Frameworks" and the other is called "modules" which has a folder called "wordpress". You can easily just upload the two folders within "xoops-module-wordpress-203" without renaming anything

This means then that the whole folder(xoops-module-wordpress-203) was uploaded to the modules folder instead of uploading the content (Frameworks and modules) to the Root of xoops.

(My post above made alusion to the fact the xLanguage module is packaged in a way that the folder name must be changed. Figured it would be the same for other packages. My Bad.

You're right - I didn't upload to the root, I uploaded to modules and it recreated another modules folder.

I'm an old wordpress pro, but this CMS thing is new to me. (I'm just glad I have wordpress integration to get me started) I'll have it figured out in a bit. Thanks for your help!!!

Moving from Wordpress to xoops

My community group is currently using Wordpress but I want to provide much more hence the intention to move to xoops. I'm wondering if I can move the existing Wordpress, place XOOPS at the root address (public_html) instead and present Wordpress via Xpress? I've requested a second SQL database from the hosting company.

Has anyone been able to resolve this? I actually had the "Recent Post with Content" block but it disappeared after updating the module.....
