We are proud to present you our first CSS theme.

It has a width of 100% and it is XHTML and CSS W3C validated.
It is fast loading. This theme can be used with a sreensize of 800 x 600 px and above.

It is tested with Firefox, IE and Opera.

Of course you can get this theme is different colors.

it was a hard learning process to make css themes. And right now, I can´t make any theme in css, it makes me very convuse

But its good to know that anybody like my work.

And let me tell this with the words from gestroud

Little question:
Is it possible to put the banners into the header? I can't understand this "div-struture".

It is possible, but only if you are serious, that you user have a screensize from 1024 and more. Than I will do this for you.

This theme is designed for 800 x 600 px and up, and with 800 x 600 px you can´t see the banner.

Send me an Email with your URL, than I can do this if you are know the size of the screen sizes.

hmm... 800 x 600 - ok - no good idea with my banners. I'll try to explore this div-styles a little bit. Looks interesting - and much better than a standard-table.
My banners have to life in a center-block from now on.

Übrigens, wußte ich das ich deinen Namen kenne. Also schau mal wie hoch der Prozentsatz an Usern mit einer Auflösung von 800 x 600 px ist. Sollte er gering genug sein, dann baue ich das Theme für dich um.

Wow! Very tight theme! Nice work!

I was wondering if you could you use the minimum-width attribute set to 800 on a wrap div to keep it from going below that width and squishing.

Of course the minimum-width tag doesn't work in IE yet, but at least Firefox would render better.

I know, and it isn´t the minimum-width tag, I worked with a spacer.

It was very tricky to bring the theme to show all blocks in the right way

Thanks to you guys for your feetback.

I´m working on the next theme. But this will use tables, it is to tricky to do this with divs.

I was checking out your HTML and CSS validation, and there seems to be one error:

You should use the self-closing tag <br /> rather than <br> for the type of page you are rendering.

I think that will fix it. Hope that helps!

Again--great job! I love to see fellow XOOPSers using CSS for layout!

Nice job AxelF, you're definately improving with each theme.

I do have a couple of comments though... just my personal thoughts.

I know a lot of designers that love using div tags to layout their webpages but I still find it an unstable method as things have a tendency to spill over into the wrong place and ruin the look. If you grab the side of your browser and pull it inwards you will see what I mean... there is no defined structure to hold anything in place and the top nav text drops into the left block and eventually the right block drops below the centre block. This is not likely to happen under normal conditions, but the fact is it can.

I also found that using percentages for all of your columns made it lose it's shape under different resolutions. For example, the left menu at 19% of a 1400px screen is a lot and looks very strange indeed. Obviously there are a lot of ways to solve this issue and it is up to individual preferences as to which technique is used.

One last thing... it might also be nice to include the notification toggle function in the head if your theme is specifically for Xoops...

Anyway, keep up the good work and I just wanted to say that at least the leeches that are taking your themes and not giving credit think your work is good enough to use on their sites, they are obviously unable to do anything themselves and they will eventually get what they deserve... I know that doesn't help fund your work but should be good for the ego

thanks for your very detailed comment. And of course, everybody can only write his personal comment, and that is good so

The method is not very unstable, the problems are the different browers and standarts. Every browser is using more or less his own standart, and that makes the work so hard (my personal thinking ).

The Screenshots you can see above, they are from an 1400 px screen, because I work with an screensize of 1400 px. I think it looks fine.
I think that the look is better than with a fix width.

But I know, sometimes there are errors in my themes, I´m a "designer" and I love to create and design thmes, but I had it, to convert them to real themes. But i´m on the way to learn it. So I hope you guys understanding this (please ).

Hi Axle,

Nice and clean theme, Im using this theme in my site from today, since I dont know a lot about thems I ask you to answe my few questions thanks...

1 - I want to set my banners in the right section of header... I tried it myswlf but no success!

2 - Recent News block (based on news spotlight block) font size is larger in IE, but it is good in FF... what is the problem?

3 - OMG I want to place nvidia slogan (that black circle in the header instead of the earth logo (or something!) but I cant!

Hi Folks - sorry for posting in german... It's a little better than my english.

Ich hab ein paar kleine Probleme mit dem Theme:
- Wenn ich das Artikel-Management-System von it-hq.org verwende und da den Spotlight-Block auf die Startseite setzte, ist der Spotlight-Artikel nur 25 % breit...
- das Gleiche bei der News-Übersicht in diesem Modul - nur, dass es da 33 % sind
- wenn ich im MultiMenu 1.81 einen Titel (also einen Text zwischen einzelnen Menüpunkten) einfüge, wird dieser ganz links an den Blockrand gesetzt - und nicht eingerückt wie die Menüpunkte... Ein "center" als HTML-Tag bringt garnichts - wird einfach ignoriert...

Sind die Probleme "normal", also auf das komische CSS-Zeugs zurückzuführen? Oder sind das fehler im Theme? Oder vllt. sogar in den Templates des Module?
Wäre nett, wenn du mir da etwas weiterhelfen könntest - hab heute schon einige Stunden damit verbracht die robleme zu umgehen - erfolglos.

Btw: Die Seite liegt mometan bei mir lokal auf'm PC. Kann dir also leider keine Demonstration geben - höchstens Screenshots (einfach mal über ICQ oder so melden...)

ei.. i think not all part of this theme compatible with firefox.. coz if u try to go to forum module.. some page is blank
