Themes: CS-Lite XOOPS Theme

A clean, and simple theme that is geared towards Counter-Strike fans. However, this design is highly flexible and can be adapted to virtually any application. The layout is basic XOOPS 3 column, variable width.

Really, there's not much to say...

Installation
============
1. Extract the contents of the archive to a temporary folder
2. Upload the cs-lite folder and all of its contents into the themes/ directory
3. Activate the theme in System Admin »» Preferences Main »» General Settings »» Default theme

The blocks theme files have a minor problem with the path of the image corner files.

example:


<{$xoops_url}>/themes/newlook/images/rbtdiag.jpg

it should be


<{$xoops_imageurl}>/images/rbtdiag.jpg

you will need to replace with the proper path on all theme blocks

Hello James,

I just downloaded your theme for a site for my wife, but it doesn't look like the fixes are in the new zip file. I had to manually change the code in all the block files. Everything looks GREAT now. What a nice theme. She loves it and you earned me some peace for the weekend. Thanks!

I just downloaded the theme, extracted the files, doubled checked that everything showed up referencing cs-lite (and spotted some left over javascript code that needed removed in the process ), repackaged the theme as v1.1, and reuploaded it to the server.

The file you should be downloading is xoops2.0_theme_cs-lite_v1.1.zip

The only thing I can think is that some form of caching, either on MWR, or elsewhere, could be causing the issue. Not sure. But it should be fixed now.

Hi. I had to change "lite" to "light" in
.../themes/cs-light/blocks/theme_xxx.html for version xoops2.0_theme_cs-lite_v1.1.zip.

No big deal for such a nice theme. Thanks!

Man, I really need to stop working on themes at 3am!

I spent a couple hours going through the theme this evening and fixing any reported bugs, as well as hunting down and fixing a few that haven't been reported yet. I also enabled the Themes block on MyWebResource and uploaded the theme right before ziping it into an archive. The theme you see on MyWebResource is the theme you'll download.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you to all who have reported bugs!

As a little bonus for any inconvenience, I've updated the Counter-Strike source image so it will be easier for you to customize the header of the site.

Actually, there isn't a set logo. The header effect is actually accomplished using a couple background images.

Here's the code where the CSS is applied to create the background images

Now, the above has two important elements in it, id="header" and id="sname"

header controles the large Counter-Strike image that is in the header. Simply look in the style.css file and you will see how this is handled

Simply replace header.jpg with a graphic of the same height and you'll be good to go.

Now, for the effect behind the Site Name. That's handled using a small, semi-transparent gif.

    font-variant: small-caps;

    padding: 2px;

    background: url(images/snbak.gif);

    border-left: 1px solid #CDCDCD;

    border-bottom: 1px solid #CDCDCD;

If you wanted, you could remove the background statement with snbak.gif or you could remove the link from the template entirely

In theme.html, remove the following:

I removed the link from the template entirely and on IE, only when a user logs in, the banner ad gets moved from the right to the left. Any tips on how I could fix that?

Under Linux with Firefox & Konqueror the theme looks great and the banner does not move.

I'm using xoops2.0_theme_cs-lite_v1.1.zip with XOOPS 2.2.x.

Sounds like the table cell is colapsing in IE when you remove the link. IE is notorious for this. However, I'm a little confused as to why it would only happen after a user logs in. Also, in style.css, the cell controlling the banner is set to text-align:right; so the banner should stay right aligned.

Would you mind providing a link where I can take a closer look at this?

I'm not finding anything unusual in the parsed code. I've also checked your theme.html file directly.

I did notice that there is not a space character ( ) in the logo cell. IE might have issue with this. FF would simply accept the defined styles.

However, I'm still not seeing why this happens on login.

Try changing

I did as you said on line 30 and allowed module template update but no luck. God I hate IE. Thanks for your help. I'll keep fiddling around and maybe get lucky.
