YAXS: Girl-Gamer.Com is back online!

The website formally known as Digital-Girl.com is back, with a new name...Girl-Gamer.com. We used Xoops on the original site, and are using it again on the new site.

We have started from scratch pretty much, and I've been working hard the past week to get it back online after being away for a few months now. I haven't tested the theme yet on the different browsers, but will get around to it hopefully soon.

Anyway, if there are any female gamers around, or guys interested in female gaming, pop over and say hello! The community is small at present (2 LOL

), but hopefully our old members will find us again!

Nice design and good niche!!! As former female Game Journalist, it was always distressing to see the almost total lack of females at E3 (other than booth "bimbs" and PR Hacks), so this is a good concept. The one thing I would recommend is change your font colors, because the white text is a little too small, and the blue on blue is hard on the eyes. Otherwise, good work!

I used to be a Digital-girl Columnist, formerly known as JAG (Just another Guy) that a had a male spin on things. They have a great community of gamers and everyone is always friendly.

Dee and her crew are probably one of the most talented group of web developers I've met to date. Their contribution to the gaming community is welcomed. I have no doubts she and the gang will be back up to date on all things games. Go visit, register, make some friends and get your game on!

Oh there are lots of girl gamer sites out there, just low key up until recently.
Also lots of new women's orgs. Might check out girlsingames.com (women developers/mentors), pmsclan.com, gamegal.com, grrrlgamer.com, gameinatrix.com (mine of course), womengamers.com and team compete (teamcompete.com) actually has a group of girls in the competition finals.
We're around..just have to know where to look.

Also any women looking to get in the industry or contribute, may try igda.org/womendev (I may have that wrong but igda.org will get you in the right vicinity.)

Oh and welcome back Dee, good luck!

Thanks for the comments! Still working on the theme and layout, so it's always good to get some feedback

Also thanks for mentioning some of the other girl gamer links. I know a few of them, but there are a few new ones I'll be sure to check out. I will be working on the links section this weekend, so will add as many girl gamer sites I can find!
