Re: Blank page on new server

I tried to change to default theme but I still have the same problem (blank page)
But on another site, it works, but not all. It looks some modules doesn't work, and some do.
It looks that I get HTTP ERROR 500 if a module doesn't work, but not sure.

When I check for paths I usually check only mainfile.php
Are there more files that I need to check?

Re: Blank page on new server

Is there access to the admin panel? Can I enable debugging?

Re: Blank page on new server

Well I could enable debbuging before I transfer site to new server.
I have access to admin panel but when it comes to global settings it goes blank again.
I'll try to change to debbug on old server and then transfer domain.
Thanks

Re: Blank page on new server

Try installing the latest version, if possible, and see. Then you can transfer the database and template.

Re: Blank page on new server

I tried on new server Xoops 2.5.8.1 version and it works ok.
I'll try to upgrade sites on old server and then transfer.

Re: Blank page on new server

This may be obvious, but you did create the dB tables in the database, correct? Make sure you pay special attention to the dB_prefix because this may have changed too...

And "everything else" that goes along with the dB - created user with appropriate rights, etc?

Re: Blank page on new server

I must admit I almost forgot everything about xoops even I used it on many sites for years. Can you give me link to tutorial how to upgrade your site?

Re: Blank page on new server

In the archive with xoops there is an upgrade folder. That's all there is to it.

Re: Blank page on new server

Thank you all for your time.
The problem was in php extension (not sure what one).
When I transferred all config for the server I didn't know that some of those extensions aren't transferred so all time I have a problem with this.
Still, the newest version of Xoops works with setup of server I had before I made this newest changes for php extensions.
