Install Module Button Issue & Groupperm invalid!

Ive got a fresh install of 2.5.7 and out the box it runs fine as soon as I try to add any modules by clicking the Install Module button in the admin section it takes me to a 500 error.
It is also telling me that modules/system/admin/groupperm.php invalid when I try and run the checksum.php file

Any help would be great

Try to download again the XOOPS 2.5.7 , and replace the files that are shown as invalid, update the "System" module in Admin, and then try again.

Which exactly module were you trying to install? Maybe it is not compatible with XOOPS 2.5.7?.
