Re: Converting old modules GUI to XOOPS 2.5.0 Standard: Tutorial #21
Good link. Thanks!

We definitely could use some of them in the future, keeping in mind that our main set is Crystal, so any new icons added should keep the "look & feel" of Crystal icons.

Right now my suggestion is to keep the number of icons to the minimum, so we can keep the download/upload times small, and later on we can switch to sprites and expand it, as needed.

Yes, I understand perfectly, I posted here because you can handle this, I know that we are focused on the main set Crystal, but if these were to be useful, ok

Yes, they are absolutely very useful, and in case we're missing an icon for a particular action, this will be an excellent repository.

It's never too many of those...

@Mamba

I talked via chat with Simon and tells me that we can work on its modules to make them common to other GUI 2.5.

What do you think?

Just let you know that the "standard" is mamba's personal recommendation, never reviewed or approved by XOOPS Dev Team.

Code quality, compatibility and security issues should be taken care.

Hello DJ,
I coded the Framwork "moduleadmin". What problems with:
1 - Code quality
2 - Compatibility
3 - Security issues
Thank you for your reply.

Come on DJ, why are you flip-flopping on this? Just two weeks ago you said:

Although the admin classes and templates might not respect BC/FC compact and the backend is designed differently in X3, it would be good addition to XOOPS users for the moment.
Congratulations to mamba and his module pack group.

and now you're trying to kill it? Why?

My challenge to you - if you don't like Mage's code, if you think, you can improve it, then please do so or let us know exactly what issues you see and we'll fix it! But DO NOT KILL every contribution the community is providing that is helping to make XOOPS better. This is Open Source, and WE WANT people to contribute, innovate, improve, so we can make XOOPS a better system.
