#1 Posted on: 2011/3/21 13:38 Xoops Core basic Language files
Can someone tell me where I can find the (language) files used for 2.5.0 to be translated. Is there any set of language files used as basic (reference)?

I want to try to finish the Dutch translation upcoming weekend. And I think it is very useful for other translations.

Hopefully someone can help me this question.

The Dutch core files should be here stored here:

http://xoops.svn.sourceforge.net/view ... oopsLanguages/dutch/core/

but nobody did anything on 2.5.0, at least not on SVN.

So the easiest way would be look at recent translations there, like:

- Persian
- Croatian

which would show you the files that need to be translated.

Let me know if it works for you.

And thank you for your offer to help.

Are you a member on SourceForge? If yes, then let me know your user name there, and I'll add you as a translator, so you can update the files directly in SVN

I also added the English files to SVN as a reference

You can download them and translate as needed.

The guidelines for Dutch would be:

- the /english directory becomes /nederlands
- files like readme.txt become readme-nl.txt
- files like en.js become nl.js
- files like en_dlg.js become nl_dlg.js
- files like english.php become nederlands.php

Thank you again for doing the translation. It is very much appreciated.
