Publisher vs Publisher

I have a site with an older version of publisher (and clones). Info just shows it as version 1

Quote:

Version : 1
Author : Xuups.com
Credits : w4z004, hsalazar, Mithrandir, fx2024, Ackbarr, Mariuss, Marco, Michiel, phppp, outch, Xvitry, Catzwolf, Shine, McDonald, trabis, Mowaffak, Bandit-x, Shiva
Licence : GNU General Public License (GPL)
Section Management System for your XOOPS Site

And the system is
Quote:

XOOPS Version XOOPS 2.5.6
PHP Version 5.2.17
mySQL Version 5.1.73-log
Server API apache2handler
OS Linux

I want to completely redo the site using xbootstrap and

Quote:

XOOPS Version XOOPS 2.5.7.2
PHP Version 5.4.45
mySQL Version 5.5.50
Server API apache2handler
OS Linux

and I am hoping I can set up the new site with an updated publisher using the same publisher settings and clones, and just copy over the relevant mysql

So, the question is, have there been changes to the mysql in the current publisher, or should it be relatives easy?

I should be relatively easy, but it's always good to:

a) do a backup of the site and of the database
b) run it on a test site first to make sure that the conversion works fine

Most importantly, I recommend to use XOOPS 2.5.8

Been there, done that. There are WAY too many problems with modules at the present time

I intend to do a complete rebuild of the site, using 2.5.7.2 on a local host

Re: Publisher vs Publisher

I'm working on that site rebuild right now

localhost WampServer Version 3.0.0 64bit

XOOPS Version XOOPS 2.5.7.2
PHP Version 5.6.16
mySQL Version 5.7.9

XOOPS2.5.7_mod_publisher_1.02_Beta3_xoops

I installed Publisher, cloned it and installed the clone

Set the preferences and permissions

created a category

All with no problems

but, when I try to create an article, nothing happens

I click on submit and nothing happens

And there are no errors

Any ideas?

What do you mean by that?

PublisherClone doesn't close the "editing" mode?

Where are you submitting the article - in Admin mode, or the User mode in the Front End?

Do you have the right "permissions" to submit an article?

I tested here locally on the same version of PHP and it worked.

The only issue I had was with the footer - you might have to change the extensions for the Comments and Notifications templates in your "[CloneName]_footer.tpl, from .tlp to .html:

db:system_comments_flat.html
db:system_notification_select.html

Re: Publisher vs Publisher

Admin mode

permissions are all set

happens with publisher and the clone

click on the submit button and the favicon.ico spins for about a second and then nothing

nothing changes on the admin side and the document is never submitted
