Unfortunately, I didn't have time for it.
Maybe somebody else could take a loot and see if you could reproduce it?

I think different folders for core in svn is confusing:
Now there are two main folder for xoopscore 2.5.7:
XoopsCore/branches/2.5.7
XoopsCore/releases/2.5.7

Now the most up-to-date is XoopsCore/releases/2.5.7

IMO the most up-to-date should be XoopsCore/trunk

branches should be for different self-modified (forks) codes by developers.
releases should be created for each main release (alpha, beta, final) and remain untouched forever.

There were too many issues in the XoopsCore/trunk in the past (around XOOPS 2.4.x), with people committing stuff, that shouldn't be committed, and it got out of synch. So we moved to /branches

The released versions are in:

XoopsCore/releases/2.5.7

The working versions are in

XoopsCore/branches/

We have two working versions:

XoopsCore/branches/2.5.x/2.5.7
XoopsCore/branches/2.5.x/2.5.8

with focus on /2.5.8. They might be a little out of synch, but will be reconciled soon.

Don't expect too much work there, because the main work is happening now on GitHub with XOOPS 2.6.0

Re: XOOPS 2.5.7 Final Release Issues

I am about ready to spit nails.

I have 2.5.6, so I use the version 2.5.6 to 2.5.7 (figure I would do this first, then run the update for .1).

I am so far stuck at the database option. Since I already have a database (duh, upgrade?), I don't need a new one, but it can't create one, cause one is already there, and I can't move forward.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would:

a) login to the Website (it makes things faster)
b) copy via FTP all the files from 2.5.7.1 (from the /htdocs folder) over to your site
c) copy over the folder /upgrade
c) run XOOPS from the /upgrade folder (i.e. go tohttp://mysite.com/upgrade)
d) after this is successful, the program will guide to the Admin, and will ask you to run the update of the System module - do it
e) update also the other modules (PM, Profile, Protector)

After that you should be ready to go....
