Please submit your theme proposals for XOOPS 2.6.0

At this moment this is not a competition, but review of features that you think should be included with the theme.

Instead of just feature requests, we encourage to submit working "proofs of concept" that could be tested and reviewed. Similar to what Tatane did:

http://demo2.6.xoops-demo.com/

Please include a short description about what is unique about the theme, and what new/unique features it has, and why do you believe such features should be included.

However, it would be nice to add in the default theme in 2.6 the function <{$block.module}>-<{$block.id}> to enable the management of custom blocks

+1
Those functions are new smarty variables.
Im not a designer but some designers in xoops persian community have a same request. so it seems it is popular.
Could you please send this to the sourceforge feature request

Just i think <{$block.module_id}> would be better?

There were request to incorporate BlocksAnywhere into Core. Let's hope that the Core Team will be able to accomplish it.

This is in the kernel for several versions now, blockanywhere is no longer necessary ->http://xoops.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/xoops/XoopsCore/branches/2.6.x/2.6.0/htdocs/xoops_lib/smarty/xoops_plugins/function.block.php?revision=8271&view=markup

Mamba Im aware of those smarty variables but i thought tatane mentioned 2 different smarties.
BlocksAnywhere can render blocks content in every theme/template.

But sometimes our designers need to just have the block/module Id

eg:
somebody in local persian support website needed to customize the "publisher recent news block" templates for customizing 4 blocks.
You know we can clone blocks as many as we wish but all blocks will use the same template.
So one solution would be using the block id for recognizing between them.
a very simple and easy understandable example:
<{if $block_id == 40}> style="display: none;"

<{else}> style="display:block;"

<{/if}>

Kris:
I can see $block_id variable in that 2.6.0/htdocs/xoops_lib/smarty/xoops_plugins/function.block.php

Is this what i mentioned above?
