#1 Posted on: 2011/12/26 16:31 Xoops Headlines problem (utf-8)?
Hi there,

I have problem with Xoops Headlines (latest from svn). The problem is that I fetch RSS in utf-8 and all chars are ok, except only one - letter č. Instead of it i got '?' character.

What's the issue? RSS feed is ok, I'm reading it everyday.

Tnx mates.

except this letter č also long titles are truncated when they're in cyrillic to ??? instead of ...
this happen in several modules and I have to make a list of them, probably is xoops core bug.

RMCommon 2.1.40 - can't show properly long titles in cyrillic.

I didn't try with cyrilic, but I will... Does anyone have the same bug too? I've updated the core from 2.5.3 to 2.5.4 and there is the same bug.

Try with this fork (alternative, option...), at least have different name.
http://sourceforge.jp/projects/xoops4 ... 62/rssc_headline-120.zip/
Not uses 2.5.5 GUI, but at least solved my problem with Cyrillic when have to trim long titles, so your character problem should be solved too.

Can you give us the RSS link that you use, so we can test it here?

I tested it locally with couple of links, and it seems to be OK:
