Why not create and use a CodeMirror editor class for the new 2.5.0 system module?

It is already used in 2.5.0 as a template editor. See:

htdocs\Modules\System\Js\code_mirror\

yes sir, i know, but why not create an aditor class in /class/xoopseditor/... as any other editor?

it will be useful for all modules...

You can always add CodeMirror as just another editor and publish here for people to download it and use.

Is there anything special needed in 2.5.0 to make it work?

As for the 2.5.0 Team doing it, I think, this wouldn't be high on their priority list, and there is not that much demand for it, or at least I didn't see it so far.

I hope this work will be useful on next XOOPS releases

BUT

I sincerely prefer EDITAREA editor...
