Which module can import Smartsection articles on Xoops 2.5.1a?

I am using Xoops 2.4.4 with Smartsection.

I need upgrade Xoops to 2.5.1a and since Smartsection does't work anymore, I would like to substitute it with an articles module that can import the Smartsection's articles.

It is there a module that can do that running on Xoops 2.5.1a?

I found it and tryed install it, but I get this error:

Futhermore I have seen it is since 2009 in Alpha version...
Is it already dead?

TYPE is deprecated and has been removed from MYSQL 5. something.

So replace TYPE= with ENGINE= in the sql/mysql.sql file . i've just made the changes in SVN, but i haven't used it.http://code.google.com/p/xuups/source/browse/trunk/modules/publisher/sql/mysql.sql

I made lot of imports from smartsection to Publisher and never had problems, the only thing it doesnt import are the pictures associated to the news but this is not a real problem

Please be sure that you installed the last version, on xuups.com there is a old version , look at the forum there and find the SVN version (rev. 244) that is the newest version

i feel publisher will always have a future, its being updated ever few months or so. I'm not sure why its still in alpha, it could be that the code sometimes changes a lot or some of the features need a bit of polishing. Trabis and Mowa would probably have a better answer though.

Publisher module is/was financially supported by Mowaffak.
Mowaffak wanted me to fix the importer before final release.
I never finished the importer and always got delayed with other minor fixes, rewriting and features.
Although the module is in alpha, some work is being done in SVN from time to time and the module is stable for production.

I don't have a date for release, I guess I'll wait for Mowaffak to come back and ask me to finish the importer!
