what is the use of account expires field in user properites in AD?

Hi, Can anyone tell me what is the use of account expires field in the properties of a user in active directory? Because i created a test user with the account expires date set as end of today. But when i checked that account next day, nothing happened to the test user it was neither disabled nor deleted. So, i was puzzled what could be its usage. Thanks, Akash Kansal.

Account Expires can be used if You know when an employ stops.

When the data and time comes, the user will not be able to log on to the network.

So it's not disabled or deleted.

You can use Hyena from www.systemtools.com to report all users from all OU's in active directory.
The field is named "Role"
