"If you are using the cache feature, clear cached files periodically by updating the general preferences in "system admin" => "preferences" for better performance."

This has been on the front page of XOOPS for while now. Seems to me that it could be made an option in admin, ie

Clear Cache every [5][10][30] days... Get rid of one more manual task for the webmaster?

Right, thats the lot. Those of you that don't have an email in their profile need to PM me one, hard to invite you without...

Everyone else above should have one, might be filtered if you are on hotmail/yahoo, whatever.

Admins, can sombody close this thread please, as there are no more invites to be had.

Want one?

Yeah, it is supposed to be machine read only, no humans though. Great for storing mailing lists as well, with threaded view and large storage

I don't have any personal stuff going through...

jmass, yeah gmail is the google email service.

Main advantages are good threading and interface, and 1 Gig space...

Re everyone else, I did mention "having made some sort of contribution to xoops", whether developmental, or just ££ contribution.

Has anyone who asked for one done this, or are you just looking for free gmail?

Wil extend that to anyone who has contributed something of use to Xoops.

Regarding this, a nice addition to the news module, would be to be able to specify Categories that are NOT displayed on the front page, or the category list, or the recent news...

Then you could use those categories separately, almost as a new module....

Easy to do as well

A nasty little hack I used for this on my review module is adding a simple drop down for admin, which lets you specify the author.
