Greetings, I purchased XoopsForge.NET in the hopes of generating new interest in XOOPS. Also to provide a repository - not unlike SourceForge, FreshMeat (just better) Anyway, I am attempting to get the old module XoopsForge up to date. As I had hoped to use it for the XoopsForge.NET site. I looked at myxoopsforge, but liked XoopsForge better, as it was so much like the old SourceForge/FreshMeat sites. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else was working with this, or if anyone was interested in working with me on this. Thank you for all your time and consideration. --GW

Smarty sux. It makes it unnecessarily difficult to to style your site,
and it makes it extremely difficult, if not impossible to wrap online utilities
into any XOOPS site. Did I mention it doesen't really understand modern web standards (XHTML CSS-3.0)?
This is a formal proposal to remove Smarty, and adopt a better/modern solution to styling/theming the XOOPS CMS.
