I personally think it would be a better idea to make the current forum modules compatible with Tapatalk.

Tapatalk is a free* application for iPhone, Android, Windows Phone 7, WebOS, BlackBerry and Nokia that allows you to access and post to forums.

More information about Tapatalk can be found here:http://www.tapatalk.com/ and information about making a forum compatible with tapatalk can be found here:http://www.tapatalk.com/api/api.php.

Just my thoughts .

Greets Dylian.

* The free version of Tapatalk has some limitations. But the PRO version is not very expensive.

Here you can download xForms 1.0 (The old version) :
http://www.dylian.eu/downloads/xoops.modules/xforms/

And for everyone waiting for the release of the rewritten version (2.0), I'll continue development after the Dutch XOOPS translation is finished. So I expect to release the first stable version in 1/2 months.

As many of the Dutch XOOPS users know there is still NO Dutch translation for the XOOPS 2.4 series and many of the new modules.

This has to change, and since I didn't get any response from the leaders of the "official" Dutch translation team on the status of the translation, I decided to start a new team.

This new team will be communicating through Google Wave and hopefully this will make the team more productive.

If you are interested please send a mail to webmaster [at] xoops-info.nl**
(Replace [at] with @ and remove the spaces between the words).

What do we expect of you:

- That you have atleast one hour of free time per week to translate.
- - Although we would be VERY happy if you have more time to translate.

- That you'll respect the rules we've set up.
- - You will find this rules in your Google Wave inbox when you join us. (Don't worry there are just a few basic rules )

- That you have a Google (Wave) account, or ready to accept an account from us.
- - You can always get an account from us if you wan't, your mail/wave adress will then be: username@vertaalteam.xoops-info.nl .

And please remember, XOOPS is powered by YOU .

** You can also apply to the team by responding to this forum post.

I use Google Analitics and Statcounter, but i prefer Statcounter because it allows you to display the stats to anonymous users. (And ofcourse because you can add a counter to you website.)

[HERE] you can see a example of statcounter (the stats ofhttp://me.dylian.eu).

I can't give you a demo page for GA, but as i understand you wan't to show the statistics on your website, so then GA aint very useful .

A center block... XOOPS Administration > Blocks > Add custom block (At the bottom of the page) > Block type > Center Block - Center.

And then in the content area you place the tag...

Quote:
Also, how can i get this form to be usable by people who are not members of the site (i.e. the general public)?

Right now it won't allow access to anyone who is not a registered user

Permission settings ain't implemented yet. And giving other users access to forms ain't necessary yet since it's still a test version and it's better that your user can't access the form (since there may be some security bugs).

And i repeat to all users DON'T use this version of xForms on a public website, on a public website you should use [THIS] version of xForms.

Oops sorry, I read your message but forgot to reply .

Does the tag work if you place it in a (center) block? And could you give me a link to download the article module you used?

Yes that's what i mean't, but did you replace number with the id of the form? (The id can be found in the url when you test, edit or view the responses of a form.)

Greets Dylian.

BTW Do you use XOOPS 2.4

As i said many times before (And it's explained in the readme),, the tag is [xform id=NUMBER] (Where you replace NUMBER with the id of the form)! The download link for the SID version of xForms will not change, and the page to check if you have the latest won't change aether.

Here they are again:
DOWNLOAD:http://dev.dylian.eu/download/modules/xforms
BUILD CHECK:http://dev.dylian.eu/latest/modules/xforms

Quote:
Also I figured out that if you have a checkbox field, any fields after it will require a response, even when ALL the fields are set to no response.

I had 3 lines of checkboxes and a comments box after that. The first checkbox line didn't require a response. But everything after that did

hope that helps

Yes that helps very much, thanks .
